Very powerful. Should be required viewing for electeds on both sides of aisle.Kartemquin Films</div> <div>Great crowd at Discovery World last night for the preview of selected scenes from the "As Goes Janesville" documentary. Director Brad Lichtenstein is trying to tell several intertwined stories about workers, bankers, and boosters in a mid-size Wisconsin town, and of course those stories, post 2010, have become political. You’ve probably already seen the 28-second "divide and conquer" clip, below is a link to 10 minutes of context:Nik Kovac</div> <div>PHOTOS of @371Productions and @bradleylbar’s Sneak Peek of #AsGoesJanesville at @DiscoveryWorld http://on.fb.me/LadbDN via @spencerchumbleyBrianne O’Brien</div> <div>gazettextra: RT @wclo1230: Gazette reporter Jim Leute attended a showing of clips from "As Goes Jane… http://bit.ly/LfpwwD #janesvilleJanesville WI News</div> <div>http://asgoesjanesville.com/ Absolutely Amazing 10 minutes of film here …..unbelieveable…..Jeff Simpson</div> <div>I wish no ill will upon those who feel compelled to make these decisions, despite the fact that I APPEAR to favor the "underclass", to those who might draw those conclusions. But where does compassion and empathy for people who just want to earn a living so they can have a home and raise their kids come in? What I would like to see is less greed, more compassion and consideration for others’ and genuine willingness to help those who have become displaced workers. I’m not seeing this. I’m seeing more vitriol, blaming the displaced workers for their situations, resentment and cries of "class warfare". What are people supposed to do when their lives have been gutted by a pen stroke? Say "thank you"? Janesville is a metaphor for our country.Angela Shortt</div>
